Overview
Burger Chef was an independent tabletop game developed in collaboration with game designer Matías Saravia. Lau Sayús was responsible for the visual identity, artwork, graphic design and production of the physical prototypes used for demonstrations and publisher meetings.
Contribution
Alongside the visual development, Lau contributed to the publishing side of the project by researching and contacting potential publishers such as Haba, Ravensburger, Piatnik, Queen Games and Kosmos, arranging meetings at Spiel Essen and preparing the game for presentation. The project was brought to the fair over two consecutive years, with multiple physical prototypes produced for demonstrations and publisher evaluation.
Outcome
Although the game was not ultimately published, the meetings generated positive feedback and several publishers kept prototypes for further evaluation. The process provided early hands-on experience in tabletop prototyping, pitching and publisher relationships from the creator side.
