Overview
Lau Sayús supervised a long-running editorial licensing program for Trivia Crack / Preguntados with Mawis, Guadal and Grupo Clarín. The products reached readers nationally through bookstores and newsstands, with formats developed for both children and adults.
Challenge
Rather than transferring disposable mobile content directly to paper, each publication needed its own editorial proposition: a defined audience, a coherent content architecture, an appropriate physical format and a reason to be revisited.
Contribution
➤ Defined or reviewed editorial briefs, target audiences, tone, complexity and content mix across different formats.
➤ Oversaw the editorial pipeline from commissioning and content organization through proofreading, prepress and print-proof approval, with final supervision across every publication.
➤ Worked with publishers on format, paper, production choices and positioning, balancing perceived quality, consumer price and project viability.
➤ Maintained licensing and partner follow-up across the program, coordinating brand consistency, editorial approvals, production delivery and the brand's presence through publisher stands at the Buenos Aires International Book Fair.
Selected Formats
➤ Activity books and magazines combining trivia with games, searches, curiosities, stickers, origami and paper toys; one children’s activity-book format included more than 100 activities.
➤ Portable fan-fold trivia books designed as compact, repeat-use themed objects.
➤ Children’s sound books, art-oriented formats and other activity publications.
➤ A dedicated children’s supplement distributed through Grupo Clarín.
